Marriage and GW
Hi all,
2 days ago i visited the GW website and it showed a header with the following lines:
(some name that i forgot), will you marry me?
- Love, (another name^)
There was a dervish female wearing a shiny ring and a paragon sitting on his knees in front of here, proposing.
When i checked in today to find more info about it the header was gone from the site and i didn't see any posts on this forum either.
My question to you is: what do you think of marriage in GW?
and: do you already know some1 in GW to get married with?
- Bunneh

I think that's sweet. I'd also bet Sam got teased mercilessly for days over that.

Well, that is your opinion, but if they're both gaming devs/nerds...whatever, then I think it is pretty unique and cool. As far as growing balls and doing it face to face....what is your point??? There's probably thousands of guys out there every day proposing to their girlfriends and most of them are probably the same ol' boring standard proposals.
I say you should do whatever suits you, but keep your idiotic self centered opinions to yourself if they don't pose anything constructive.

It adds the the RPG elements of the game. Just because they add it doesn't mean you have to use it. I for one and all for in-game marriages, after all, it IS an RPG, y'know?

yea, because proposing infront of the entire webstaff, and basically anyone on the interweb who may be stopping by the site is easier.

Good point Hand of Ruin!
As for getting married in the game... they're going to have to allow gay marriages... or it wouldn't be used very often.. still i don't know if i believe you "heard about marriage" from any reliable source. Sounds unlike to me but wouldn't care either way.

I'm no mush-ball, so I've just got one thing to say:
"AWWWWWWWW!"
It takes a lot of guts to do something like that, Hand of Ruin's got it right. I only wish I had the creativity and brass balls to have pulled off something like that when I proposed. I hope the worst this guy got was razzed and maybe a noogie. I also hope she said yes!

What he did took more balls than asking someone in person to marry him. There is nothing wrong with other people publicly knowing you care about someone enough to marry that person. Besides maybe he felt this would be more romantic. If you quit guildwars why are you still posting here? lol Oh and can I have some of your stuff since you wont be needing it anymore?

he did a "public" proposal. to ask someone to marry on a site thats on your every friends and coworkers desktop first thing in the morning, takes more balls then to ask face to face alone in the room.
grow up man
